Kernave is the first Lithuanian pagan capital, a picturesque archaeological site, located by the river Neris valley on fort-hills. The site is included in UNESCO world heritage. Kernave site presents an exceptional testimony to the evolution of human settlements in the Baltic region over the period of some ten millennia.
